If you're a F2P there's little to no room for mistake's so always confirm with someone Knowledgeable before you make a big decision (like when spend Golden Head, Speedup, Troops, Gems, Anything!!)

ROK F2P Guide Step #1

Which Civilization in ROK?

CHINA will be your only one choice. 

Sun Tzu, this commander is only one epic comannder who is well rounded like Gold Commander. He can do anything ( War, Barb Chain, Barb Fort, Etc).

5% Building Speed, Just China who has this Buff for building speed. There is Egypt but just 1,5%. it will save much speedup if you rushing your CH to Lv 17 or Lv 22. This is a good buff in the early game.

5% Action Point Recovery, Good Buff to make you can do more barb fort or barb chain in Early Game.

ROK Civilization Tip

Don't Change your Civilization before reaching CH 17 because you can unlock T3 and 4 March queue more fast with China

After you get CH 17. Recommended switching civilizations to Germany before KvK 1 Start with your Free Change Civ what you get when reach CH 10.

Keep Active at any Alliance Activity to get Silver Coin. if you active,you can get 2M Silver Coin at next Month to prepare Change your Civ again

When KvK 1 Starting, Buy Other Civ Change Token And Change your Civilization to France

Troop Tip

Recommendation to Newbie F2P choose to be Infantry Main because cost for to be Infantry more cheap than being Cav or Arch Main. Thats Why Note 1 basically is for Infantry Main.

ROK F2P Guide Step #2

Create Farm Accounts in ROK

YOU NEED FARM ACCOUNT AS F2P (or Spender)  because it will make you can gather RSS more than just have only main account. I recommended to make minimum of 2 farm accounts and maximum 4 farm accounts.

If you make 2 farm accounts, you can make they only focus on gathering RSS, and Your Main can Only Farm Gems Nodes

If you make 4 farm accounts, you will make more RSS for your Main, Resources in ROK is one of most items in this game, and your main can more focus on gem farming.

ROK Farming Tip

Make Farm accounts based on how much you can spend your time to manage them. If you just have little time for playing, better just make 2 farm accounts but make it efficient. Make 4 farm accounts but if you don't have time to manage it, you're wasting your time.

Only focus gathering 1 resource type is not recommended, because your farm account still needs to produce troops to make it stronger and can gather more. just make it them to farm all resources types and you will not have issues training troops in your farm account. Make each farm account the Japan civiliation for 5% All Resource Gathering Speed.

ROK F2P Guide Step #3

Barb Chain & Barb Fort in ROK

Most F2P Gems is from doing Barb Chain. That iswhy you need spend your action points to do Barb Chaining rather than do Barb Fort. You can make it 50:50 for barb chain and barb fort depending on your playing time.

Spending Your Gems Wisely in ROK

You Should only use your gems in the following:

• Min 14k Gems for VIP during MTG EVENT
• 5k Gems on Wheel Of Fortune Event and Holy Knight Treasure Event
• 7k Gems for Seasonal Event

ROK Gem Tip

Don't Spend your gems out of that Except you already planning to get more gems for spending more like buy on Vip Shop, spend on Card King or Hunt of History Event.

ROK F2P Guide Step #5

Saving speedups and other important items in ROK

You should only use your speedups during events such as The Mightiest Governor, Lucky Stall, Eve of the Crusade troop training or seasonal events with missions over 7 days. Also, make sure to ask for a title and use a rune before pushing once Lost Temple has been captured.

Do not try to compete in events such as Game of Power that give 20 Legendary Sculptures to the Rank 1. You will just waste your speedups and all the good ranks will be taken by spenders.

Zenith of Power is worth spending your speedups in but you should save for a few months if you want to be able to compete.

Other important items that you should not use unless you are 100% sure of what you are doing are Legendary sculptures, Legendary Starlights and Legendary equipment blueprint choice chests. Make sure to get good advice or do some research before spending those

Research Priorities in ROK

Here are the technologies you should max out first before doing anything else! All speedups you have should be invested in getting these technologies first in your Academy in Rise of Kingdoms:

Economy Tech Research in ROK:

Masonry - Will Give you 15% Building Speed

Writing - Will Give you 10% Research Speed

Engineering - Will Give you 35% Building Speed (Next level of Masonry)

Mathematics - Will Give You 15% Research Speed (Next Level of Writing)

ROK Research Tips

You can level up your research first like masonry before up your city hall or up your writing before you level up other research.

War Tech - Unlock and Levelup all things to boost your main troops first, you can see pics below (for example this for archer main because unlock T4 Archer First, if you infantry you can choose unlock T4 infantry first)
