Research Center

The Research Center is a key building in Whiteout Survival, unlocked when your Furnace reaches level 9. It allows you to research upgrades that strengthen your city, improve resource production, and boost combat power.

Research requires resources such as Wood, Meat, Coal, Iron, and Steel. Higher research levels demand more resources and time, so plan your queue strategically to maximize efficiency.

Pro Tip - Always prioritize general speedups on Research and not on buildings.

How It Works

Upgrading the Research Center unlocks higher-level research options and speeds up your research time. The building is divided into three tabs, each focusing on different aspects of gameplay:

1. Growth

Focuses on city development and overall progression. Examples include:

• Ward Expansion – Increases Infirmary capacity.

• Camp Expansion – Boosts troop training capacity in Military Buildings.

• Tool Enhancement – Speeds up research time in the Research Center.

2. Economy

Improves the output of resource buildings for a steady supply of materials. Examples:

• Meat, Coal, Wood, and Iron production boosts.

• Efficiency upgrades for gathering and production speed.

3. Battle

Strengthens your military power by upgrading troop stats. Examples:

• Attack and defense boosts for Infantry, Marksman, and Lancer units.

• Research that improves troop survivability and battle performance.

I believe the goal of this game is WAR and defeating your enemy. When in doubt, choose the Battle research tree over growth and economy. The growth tree is only important if you want to score well in events. Other than that, you have a farm account!

The Growth research tree is important in the early game and honestly unlocking Tool Enhancement VII will be the biggest enablers for this game. You will always be researching something.
