Destiny Rising Lightbearer Characters

What Are Lightbearers in Destiny: Rising?
Lightbearers—sometimes referred to as “Risen”—are humans brought back to life by Ghosts and infused with the Traveler’s Light. This gift makes them immortal champions, able to wield powerful abilities tied to the elements of Arc, Solar, and Void. Lightbearers are the characters you can play in the game.
Lightbearers, Characters, Heroes, Guardians?
Whatever you call them, I will refer to them as Lightbearers because that's what you play as. They are the characters that you can play and together they form a very important team. You can switch between Lightbearers to gain advantages in the game. Don't use Guardians anymore. This is an old reference used in Destiny 2. Let's put the past behind us (if you can!)
Leveling Up Your Lightbearers
Progressing in Destiny: Rising unfolds along two key paths: character growth and campaign progression. Each Lightbearer can be leveled to boost core stats and unlock new abilities, while the main campaign is divided into chapters that require specific objectives to move forward. These objectives might include reaching certain level thresholds, equipping higher-rarity gear, or completing quests tied to the story.
Some campaign chapters were time-gated, forcing players to wait before unlocking the next stage. We should expect the story to progress at a measured pace. This design encourages time spent in side content like dungeons, events, and other activities outside the main story.
Summoning System Explained
Like many mobile RPGs, Destiny: Rising features a gacha-style summoning system for recruiting new Lightbearers and acquiring rare gear. Summons are tied to banners, which come in two types:
Standard banners – the permanent pool of Lightbearers and weapons.
Limited banners – special event-based rotations with exclusive rewards available only for a short window.
Drop rates are designed with both excitement and fairness in mind. A Mythic Lightbearer is guaranteed within 60 draws, with extra safeguards built into the system. For example, during beta testing:
Players received a guaranteed Mythic within their first 30 pulls.
After 180 summons, they could even select a Mythic of their choice.
This system ensures that consistent play—or investment—ultimately leads to valuable, high-tier rewards.
Lightbearer's Weapons
Each Lightbearer is tied to specific weapon archetypes. Weapons can be swapped between characters, but they must align with the correct class of weapon. The gear system follows a familiar rarity ladder—Rare, Legendary, Exotic, and a brand-new top tier, Mythic. Both Mythic weapons and Mythic Lightbearers sit at the pinnacle of power, offering exclusive traits and enhanced bonuses that set them apart from lower tiers.
