Destiny Rising Launches Globally on Mobile

Exciting news for Destiny fans worldwide—Destiny: Rising officially launched globally on August 28, 2025! Developed by NetEase Games under license from Bungie, this free-to-play mobile sci-fi RPG shooter expands the Destiny universe, taking players into an alternate timeline before the events of the original series.

Players step into the role of a customizable Lightbearer named Wolf, tasked with restoring humanity after a second Dark Age. With 12 unique Lightbearers, each featuring distinct abilities and stories, the game offers a rich mix of single-player, co-op, and competitive multiplayer modes—including six-player Strikes and both PvE and PvP activities.

Combat is flexible, allowing players to switch between first-person and third-person perspectives, using touchscreen controls or compatible controllers. Weapons are shared across characters, and each Lightbearer wields a unique Relic that shapes their abilities. Beyond combat, the game includes fun mini-games like fishing and the collectible card game Shadowshaper Duels.

The game launched simultaneously across all regions at 9:00 AM local time, with a pre-download starting on August 27, 2025, at 6:00 AM PT. Destiny: Rising is available now on iOS and Android—download it from the App Store or Google Play Store.
