Whiteout Survival Switching States
❄️ Thinking About Switching States in Whiteout Survival? Here's What You Need to Know
Grinding hard but still feel stuck? It might not be your strategy — it might be your state. Whether you're solo in an inactive server, surrounded by mega-alliances, or just trying to join your friends, switching states can completely transform your gameplay.
Here’s why you should consider making the move — and exactly how to do it.
👥 1. Play with Friends or Join a Better Alliance
Playing alone in a dead state? That gets old fast. Switching states lets you join your friends, rally together, and build a coordinated alliance from the ground up. It’s a more social, competitive, and rewarding way to play.
🌱 2. Start Fresh in a Thriving State
Old states are often dominated by massive alliances.
A new state gives you a level playing field, access to early events, and a real chance to rise in the rankings — instead of playing endless catch-up.
🛑 3. Escape a Dead or Toxic Server
If your current state feels like a graveyard or is full of drama, why stay?
A fresh state offers active players, fresh alliances, and a better community vibe — whether you’re looking for teamwork or healthy competition.
🏆 4. Access Competitive Events Early
New states offer a front-row seat to limited-time events like:
King of Icefield
Joining early means you’re not playing catch-up — you’re setting the pace and earning top-tier rewards.
🌍 5. Match Your Time Zone & Language
Struggling to rally at 3 AM because your alliance is on the other side of the world?
Move to a state where players share your language and time zone. It makes team play smoother and way more fun.
🔄 Three Ways to Switch States in Whiteout Survival
✅ Option 1: Create a New Character (Yes, you are starting over)
Best for: Joining friends, escaping dead states, starting fresh in a new server.
⚠️ After Day 5, this is your only guaranteed method of switching states.
🔧 Step-by-Step:
Tap your Profile (Top-left)
Tap the Gear Icon (Settings)
Go to Character Management
Tap Create New Character
Select the state number you want to join (e.g., State #2301)
Confirm and start fresh as a new player in that state
💡 Pro Tip:
Want to dominate with friends?
Coordinate your start time
Create characters in the same state
Join or form an alliance early for faster growth
✅ Option 2: Use a Migration Pass (Only Within First 5 Days)
Best for: Transferring your existing character to a different state — but only in the first 5 days. The Migration Pass is different than the Transfer Pass in Whiteout Survival
⚠️ After Day 5, migration is locked, even with a pass.
✅ Requirements:
Both your current and target states must be less than 5 days old
You must leave your alliance and recall all troops
You must own a Migration Pass
If your state is too old, you’ll need to use Option 1 or wait for a Transfer Event.
✅ Option 3: Use a Transfer Pass During a State Transfer Event
Best for: Moving your main character to a new state after the 5-day window — during special, limited-time events.
The State Transfer Event is the only way to move a character from a long-established state. It’s divided into three key phases:
📅 State Transfer Phases:
Phase I: Pre-Transfer (3 Days)
– Review target states and get readyPhase II: Invitational Transfer (2 Days)
– Only invited players can movePhase III: Open Transfer (2 Days)
– Anyone eligible may transfer (if space remains)
