📜 What Is the War Academy?
The War Academy is a late-game building in Whiteout Survival focused entirely on military advancement. It’s where you:
Unlock T11 (Helios) troops. T11 troops are the final & strongest troop level as of August 2025.
Research is broken down into three specialized research trees:
Infantry
Marksman
Lancer
Unlike the Research Center, this building is purely focused on troop and hero combat upgrades.
📅 How to Unlock the War Academy
Server-based unlock – The War Academy appears ~220 days after your server starts. Check out the Server Timeline for more details. The War Academy becomes available 40 days after its release. The Hero timeline clue is shortly after Gen 4 heroes and the next SvS Event.
Not tied to your individual progress – It’s based on server age, not your own building level.

🔥 How to Get Fire Crystal Shards
F2P Players
Daily Steel Exchange → 50K Steel = 1 Shard (max 20/day = 20 shards).
Keep 2M Steel in reserve for research upgrades.
Save Fire Crystals for building upgrades, not shard conversion.
Grind daily trades to steadily build your shard bank.
Spenders (P2P & Whales)
Buy Fire Crystal Shards directly via packs.
Exchange extra Fire Crystals into shards (ratio is much better than Steel).

Research Troop Capacity upgrades in all 3 research trees first. This helps become a better Joiner and score better in all aspects of the game.
