What Are Weapons in Destiny Rising?

Weapons are your primary source of damage and can be leveraged with each Lightbearer. While abilities add extra firepower, your Primary Weapon will do most of the heavy lifting in combat.

Primary Weapons: Infinite ammo, only limited by reload times.
Heavy Weapons: Require ammo pickups and have limited shots, but deliver massive damage.

Traits, Perks & Mods

Traits & Perks: These influence weapon performance and damage. Higher-level weapons unlock more perks, allowing you to tailor your playstyle.
Weapon Mods: Equip mods to upgrade or customize your weapons for specific builds. Mods can boost DPS or enhance utility, making them essential for optimization.

How to Get Weapons in Destiny Rising

1. Choice Engrams

Choice Engrams let you select a weapon from a specific pool when opened. This is especially useful if you’ve unlocked a new character with different weapon preferences and need to gear them up quickly.

2. Chapter & Milestone Rewards

Weapons can also be earned as Chapter Rewards or Milestone Rewards. However, not every quest or milestone guarantees a weapon—these rewards typically appear every few milestones, so plan your progression accordingly.

3. Daily Raids & Strikes

Participating in Daily Raids and Strikes is another great way to farm weapons:

Normal Difficulty: Rewards Legendary Weapons.
Heroic Difficulty: Offers Mythic Weapons and Mythic Weapon Parameters, which are essential for crafting Mythic Weapon Engrams.

How to Equip Weapons

You can equip weapons from the Character Menu. Keep in mind:

Each character has specific weapon preferences.
You can only equip weapon types that are compatible with that character.
